What's the minimum jackpot?

NZ$4M — when no Division 1 winner is found, the prize rolls into the next draw. The largest historical jackpot for Powerball was NZ$50M (Must Be Won).

How are the prize divisions calculated?

Each division pays a share of the prize pool based on the number of entries matching that tier. With more winners in a division the per-winner amount drops; with fewer winners it goes up. Division 1 is reserved for entries matching every main number plus the Powerball.

NZ Powerball is drawn Wednesday and Saturday at 20:00 NZST/NZDT, piggybacking on the main Lotto draw. Players use the same six main numbers from 1 to 40 plus the Bonus Ball, with one additional Powerball selected from 1 to 10. Seven prize divisions reward winning combinations.
